Job Description As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for translating complex requirements into robust and manufacturable designs, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge solutions to life. Your contribution to something big: Involvement on the mechanical design and development of components and assemblies for new and existing Electric and Heat Pump Water Heaters, ensuring optimal performance, manufacturability, and compliance; Manage and execute design changes (ECRs) related to quality improvements, cost optimization, and new feature integration for electric solutions, ensuring timely and effective implementation; Maintain accurate and up-to-date article statuses in Team Center Engineering and SAP, including the introduction of new article numbers and Bill of Materials (BOMs); Embrace a constructive and adaptable attitude towards project changes and challenges, driving solutions proactively; Prepare and transfer detailed engineering results and design decisions into comprehensive technical documentation; Actively support the development of future generations of electric appliances, contributing to long-term innovation; Demonstrate proactive behavior and contribute positively to the team environment. Qualifications What distinguishes you: Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical field. Experience and Knowledge: Experience in mechanical design and development; Strong knowledge of various manufacturing principles for diverse materials, including plastics, sheet metal, die casting, bending, and connection methods; Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX / UG-NX) and Product Data Management systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter Engineering); Good foundational knowledge of SAP, particularly, Engineering Change Management (ECM) process; Proficiency in Jira for requirement engineering and Agile sprint management, it is an advantage; Demonstrated affinity for managing and implementing running changes in series production environments; Personality: Creative, analytical, persistent, and results-oriented mindset; A team player who actively fosters a positive environment, bringing people together to solve challenges and achieve shared success; Excellent communication and active listening skills, enabling effective collaboration and clear, constructive dialogue across the team. Languages: Proficient in English (written and spoken).
