QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in CREO or similar CAD tool
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER

  • Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering Science, Math, or other Engineering disciplines
  • Computer-aided Design (CAD) experience in Creo Parametric and Windchill
  • Experience in airframe development, electronics packaging, mechanisms, for missiles or similar applications
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements.
  • Develop and maintain formal technical data package generation (engineering drawings, models)
  • Support suppliers with product integration
  • Perform and review tolerance analyses to ensure form, fit, and function are as intended by design for the use-application.
  • Improve new and existing designs using Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Producibility principles.
  • Work with suppliers for component part selections and developments to procure solutions that fit within design constraints and requirements
  • Participate in peer reviews, resolve action items, and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions.
  • Apply knowledge and experience in technical problem solving and hardware development in a fast paced, team environment.
