Job Description The Mechanical Design Engineer (PHE + Fire Fighting) is responsible for the critical task of designing and reviewing PHE and fire protection systems for building projects. This role demands a high level of expertise and attention to detail. Meticulously design and rigorously review PHE and fire protection systems for building projects, ensuring optimal safety and efficiency. Prepare comprehensive design drawings, precise BOQs, and detailed technical specifications with utmost accuracy. Conduct complex hydraulic and flow calculations to guarantee system performance and reliability. Strictly adhere to and ensure full compliance with NBC, NFPA, and all relevant codes and standards. Effectively coordinate with architecture, structure, and MEP teams to ensure seamless integration of all building systems. Key Competencies: Advanced expertise in PHE and Fire Fighting Design Proficiency in complex hydraulic calculations and pump sizing In-depth knowledge of NBC, NFPA, and IS Standards Superior coordination skills and technical documentation abilities Qualifications Experience Required: A minimum of 10 years of extensive, relevant experience is mandatory, with a strong preference for candidates possessing up to 15 years in the field. This extensive experience requirement is non-negotiable due to the critical nature of the role. Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution. The degree must demonstrate a rigorous academic background in mechanical engineering principles, particularly those applicable to PHE and fire fighting systems. Additional Requirements: Please note: Only candidates who meet all of the above qualifications will be considered for this position. The critical nature of this role demands strict adherence to these requirements to ensure the safety and efficiency of our projects. Demonstrated mastery of PHE and Fire Fighting Design principles is essential Proven track record in performing complex hydraulic calculations and pump sizing with utmost precision Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of NBC, NFPA, and IS Standards is crucial Exceptional coordination skills and the ability to produce meticulous technical documentation are imperative Additional Information Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit MEP. Understanding of plumbing and firefighting system design principles. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NBC, IS, and basic knowledge of NFPA). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
