  • Education level

Bachelor?s degree in mechanical Engineer preferred

Minor in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer is a Plus

  • Experience

3-5 years? experience as a Mechanical Engineer
Experience in quality assurance a plus
Experience in product design/implementation a plus
Experience with CNC machining and fixture design a plus

Experience with manual machining (lathe and/or mill) a plus

  • Specific skills

Strong Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS
Experience with 3d printing and rapid prototyping.
Experience with PDM Vault preferred
Strong communication skills
Extremely Organized

Proficient in Office365 and ERP utilization

Responsibilities

The responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Engineer are listed below. As Reliable Equipment Manufacturing Company grows and transforms, responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Engineer may also grow and/or transform.

  • Manage complete product projects from beginning to end (initial research, development of concept and drawings, prototyping, fixture or tooling design and development for production)
  • Develop drawings, models, and assemblies in SolidWorks for legacy and newly implemented products.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing as well as a specific customer?s service department in discussing and solving complex problems and concerns.
  • Maintain and process engineering records, specifications and documentation utilizing provided software databases and vaults throughout the lifecycle of all products and components.
  • Collaborate with engineering colleagues in the design and implementation of new utility line tools and equipment as required by a specific customer, with a focus and priority for the safety of the end user.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and meetings with other departments to ensure collaboration and cohesion, assisting in the development and implementation of procedures, solutions and control levels required for successful perpetuation of manufacturing design and product specifications.
  • Develop new solutions to existing manufacturing problems, supporting the production staff in achieving progress and manufacturing goals.
