JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 8L9 (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 4 months
Schedule: 1st Shift (Morning) Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Onsite)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develops and tests on a variety of mechanical assignments that constitute a portion of a larger project.
• Tests documentation which describes the specific mechanical functionality.
• Runs tests designed by more experienced engineers.
• Reviews test results and performs root cause analyses to identify problems.
• Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex issues. Ensures compliance with quality process and standards.
• Makes changes to or upgrades existing mechanical designs. Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of product design experience in optoelectronic or industrial electronic product industries.
• Experience in ProE/Creo design and drafting applied to industrial and consumer electronics or opto-electronic products. Familiarity with SolidWorks is a plus.
• Experience in CNC Machining is preferred.
• Experience with 3D printing is preferred.
