Description
SAIC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer/Draftsman experienced in 2D layouts and 3D models of machinery, tools, and components using CAD software based on engineer specifications. The individual should be able to take drawings and models from different sources and convert them to a production ready format. The candidate should have experience in design of piece part, subassembly, final assembly, integration, 2D drawings and 3D models, and creation and maintenance of multi-level, indentured BOM, Configuration Management principles, MRP/ERP, and other systems used for managing technical documentation. Required Experience and Education: B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent and five (5) years or more experience. An A.A. or A.S. degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with eight (8) years or more applicable experience will be considered. Hands on, up to date experience using 2D/3D CAD software is mandatory. While experience in packages like Solidworks or CATIA may be considered, the individual selected will have to be proficient in Inventor. Demonstrates ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present information to a wide range of customers and vendors. Experience with complex EW and/or RF hardware is a plus. Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance (required), up to a TOP SECRET (preferred).
