About the Role

We're partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in the design and production of custom machinery for the food processing industry. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative, high-quality equipment, they're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Brisbane-based engineering team.

This is a hands-on design role where you'll take ownership of projects from concept through to production, working closely with internal stakeholders to create practical, fit-for-purpose machinery tailored to customer requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Design custom mechanical equipment using 3D CAD software
• Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs
• Manage projects from concept through to production and commissioning
• Liaise with production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and industry requirements

What You'll Bring

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer
• Proven experience in mechanical design engineering
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD design software (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar)
• Experience designing custom machinery or industrial equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

Salary & Benefits

• $120,000 - $150,000 + Super
