ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a dynamic and varied CAD design position working across both new product development and project delivery. If you enjoy jumping between concept design, real-world system layouts, and problem-solving on the fly, this is the right role for you.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll produce full drawing packages: parts, assemblies, fabrication, P&IDs, GA layouts, and more. You’ll work with both bespoke components (nozzles, washguns) and system-level designs (pumps, pipework, hygienic equipment) that integrate into food-grade manufacturing environments.
This is not just a desk-based drawing role. Expect site visits, random briefs, tight turnarounds, and a fast-moving team culture that values people who get stuck in.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Produce detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Create system layout drawings, P&IDs, installation drawings, and user manuals
  • Modify and develop existing designs to support manufacture and assembly
  • Occasionally accompany project managers to customer sites for surveys
  • Support both pre-sales technical input and new product R&D
  • Work closely with a small, agile, and motivated cross-functional team

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT SOMEONE FROM:

  • Food production / hygienic systems
  • Oil & gas / industrial process systems
  • Factory automation
  • Product design or mechanical systems integration
