Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the 3D CAD design of components for truck installations.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Implementing manufacturing and aftermarket friendly 3D CAD developed mechanical design solutions
  • Investigate, discuss and solve component or design issues identified during the assembly process in the factory
  • Contribute to quality improvement on component or designs in case of field issue reports
  • Drive communication and validation activities within a cross functional team of Engineers, Production staff, Purchasing, Aftermarket and Brand representatives
  • Provide engineering drawings and documentation for release of parts in product documentation systems

  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
  • 3D CAD modelling and design experience
  • PTC CREO software experience (desirable)
  • Experience in a design role working within a project engineering environment (desirable)
  • Proven experience working within an Agile project management using Jira (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Australia Design Rules and AS/NSZ standards (desirable)
