Join our team to collaborate across different engineering areas, solve meaningful challenges creatively and transfer concepts from initial design, through prototyping and testing into real-world solutions.
This is an opportunity to support key projects, use modern tools, and work in state-of-the-art facilities to create technologies that shape how energy systems evolve. You get to work on advancing power electronics used for Tesla products globally, thereby directly contributing to the acceleration of the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with the team for modeling and design of mechanical components and assemblies including plastics, sheet metal, heat sinks, insulation systems, magnetic components, high voltage connectors, fasteners and other components
  • Support with Mechanical Design Analysis including thermal, CFD, structural FEA, design for assembly and design for test
  • Participate in all aspects of solving electronics packaging issues including: electrical isolation, sealing, thermal management, interconnection, shock and vibration management, electromagnetic interference (EMI), RF communications, etc.
  • Cooperate closely with other mechanical, systems, electrical, digital control, manufacturing, industrial design, and test engineers to take designs from prototype through mass production
  • Assist in engineering prototype builds and component fabrication
  • Prepare engineering test plans for designs
  • Create template drawing packages and manufacturing instructions for parts and assemblies

What You’ll Bring

  • Ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • Reliable and Independent working mindset
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and technical possibilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss any issues with a wide variety of individuals and groups
  • Analytical mindset, hands on approach and problem-solving oriented
  • Fluency in English
  • Previous internship and/or project experience is a plus
