Job content:As a Mechanical (Design) Lead Engineer, you are responsible for the technical concept and the coordination of engineering activities for complex machines and installations;
You engineer and construct complete installation concepts for facade maintenance systems using 3D CAD and FEM;
As a Mechanical (Design) Lead Engineer, you lead the engineering team and manage the work of other engineers and drafters;
You produce working drawings, bills of materials, and calculations, and compile the technical construction file;
You align designs with electrical engineering aspects and answer technical questions from internal and external stakeholders;
You support assembly with technical questions and implement improvements for construction, assembly, and service;
You divide your time broadly across design & modeling (approximately 50%), calculations and FEM (20%), testing and validation (10%), supplier alignment and project coordination (10%), and assembly and optimization support (10%), and you directly manage an engineering team of 3–5 colleagues, combining practical design tasks with direction and coaching;
Job requirements:You have completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
You have several years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering or a similar manufacturing industry;
You have experience with 3D engineering, preferably Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or Inventor;
Experience with FEM calculations and knowledge of MathCad and Femap is a plus;
You have a command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
You can prepare and archive technical files, working drawings, and bills of materials;
