Compendium Group Inc. is looking for an engineer or technologist who is a well organized, team oriented, creative, hands on, candidate residing within 50-80 km of the Prescott / Brockville area with:
- a 4 year engineering or 3 year technology degree
- experience in automation & machine design
Compendium Group Inc., located in Prescott Ontario, designs and builds custom, state of the art, high speed End of Line automation cells. Starting from a blank sheet of paper we produce fully functioning systems. Every aspect of every project is done in house, from mechanical & electrical design, CNC parts machining, mechanical & electrical assembly, electrical panel building, PLC, HMI & robotic programming through to final assembly, testing and commissioning.
The successful candidate must:
- have a passion and appreciation for electro/mechanical design & build
- be a self starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- be highly organized and detail oriented
- capable of taking a design form concept to fully functioning machine
- proficient with Electro/mechanical software packages specifically SolidWorks
- proficient with Microsoft Office software specifically Word & Excel
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- working within a collaborative team environment
- working day to day with the engineering, machine assembly & build team
- detailed calculations and design as required to build high speed automation equipment
- generating complete drawing packages, BOM’s, ordering commercial components
- continuous quality control and improvement
