MTI Instruments, a Vitrek company, is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter to support our expanding product development initiatives. This full-time, onsite role is based in Albany, NY, where you’ll collaborate with a local engineering team while also working with the larger Vitrek family to solve complex design challenges. You will report to the Mechanical Team Manager and play a critical role in our innovation process.

• Create, update, and maintain engineering documentation under the guidance of the Mechanical Team Manager.
• Develop 2D/3D CAD solid models, technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and electrical design files.
• Support and lead design tasks, assisting in the building and testing of prototype products.
• Work with Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, SAP Business One, Engineering Change Notice (ECN) systems, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and more.
