POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer - HVAC with strong technical, organizational, and communication skills to support our Sales Engineers and Design teams. This role plays a key part in the successful execution of HVAC projects, from initial design through to manufacturing and final delivery. The ideal candidate has a background in mechanical drafting, HVAC systems, project coordination, and client interaction within a manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical equipment design and layout (AutoCAD).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Level II or higher (3D modeling experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of electric motor-driven fan/blower applications and HVAC system components.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service or client support experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF editors, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Designers to develop accurate design models of custom air handling equipment.
  • Interpret engineering specifications using industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE).
  • Generate accurate quotes and bids for mechanical and HVAC contractors.
  • Coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle: from submittals, documentation, and revisions to final delivery.
  • Provide technical support and maintain thorough, organized project files.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
