Description Position Summary: Collaborates with peer engineering teams, manufacturing, suppliers and customers to drive product designs across all phases of the product life cycle. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Operates SolidWorks Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to produce new and update existing production-ready drawings and 3D models. Works with internal and external customers to ensure designs meet manufacturability, service and customer requirements. Actively contributes to problem solving and continuous improvement activities for both development projects and mature products. Interacts with suppliers to understand processes/capabilities, and requirements and troubleshooting. Executes core duties and responsibilities of the role in accordance with the established skills competencies. All other duties, as assigned. Requirements Essential Skills and Experience: Certificate in CAD Design. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred 1 to 3 years of work experience developing new product designs in similar industry is preferred. Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry is preferred. Intermediate computer competency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Basic computer competency with mechanical engineering CAD tools is required. Basic computer competency with business specific software (e.g. ERP, eQMS) is preferred. Responsibilities

The Mechanical Designer collaborates with engineering teams, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to drive product designs throughout the product life cycle. They produce and update production-ready drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and ensure designs meet various requirements.
