Optimal Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Designer with experience in building mechanical system design including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• MUST have at least one year experience in residential and commercial design of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing & fire protection
• MUST be proficient in AutoCAD 2D
• Technologist, College or University Degree in a relevant field
• Ability to read and understand engineering and architectural blueprints
• Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
• Self-motivated and organized
• Attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis

• Perform site visit to verify existing mechanical systems
• Prepare reports and specifications
• Any associated administration as required
