Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, the Mechanical Designer or Engineer will be responsible for developing solutions for our Municipal and Industrial Water Treatment technologies. You will be supported by a team of professionals to help develop innovative new products as well as improve upon our existing base of market-leading products. Growth opportunities within our global business will allow the right candidate to develop into a technical leader by leveraging their specialized expertise, providing mentorship to junior designers and other cross-functional disciplines, and supporting the larger sales, production, and service organization. Veralto’s extensive set of established tools for improving processes and fostering continuous improvement (VES) will allow the right candidate to thrive in an environment where they can help drive improvements in the way we work.
This position is part of the Engineering Team located in London, ON (Canada) and will be Onsite.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Product development experience utilizing design sprint, rapid prototyping, and customer validation.
  • Proficient in using CAD software such as Solidworks 3D and Inventor.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) and strong facilitation/presentation skills.

IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO POSSESS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Proven track record developing innovative design solutions.
  • Ability to create detailed design drawings that can be used for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
  • Carry out assignments of substantial variety and/or complexity requiring a sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Involved in product development and existing product enhancement from conceptual design to early lifecycle.
  • Produce professional design drawings/documentation, and build rapid prototypes of product concepts to illustrate design concepts.
  • As a collaborative team member, create and deliver on project plans.
  • Participate in testing and field verification.
