We are currently looking for a Architectural Drafter / Mechanical Designer to join our team in Woodbridge, ON.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient in reading and interpretation of technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail
• 3 years experience in preparation of sheet metal 3D CAD Models and respective drawings in Solidworks
• Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
• Creativity and analytical skills
• Must be able to use 2D AutoCAD software
• CAD/ Drafting Certificate or Degree - or completion or related field

• Understanding customer’s requirements and identifying production capability gaps
• Design and preparation of fabrication drawings of varying complexity on various sheet metal parts in Solidworks
• Generate assembly drawings
• Program CNC laser and router machines
• Preparation of BOM and materials for ordering
• Revisions and editing of designs
• Communications with clients for approvals
