Become a part of our team! TAKRAF Australia is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide drafting and design support across our After-Market, DELKOR, and Project Delivery teams, contributing to a range of major projects within the resources and materials handling sector. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed mechanical and structural designs, drawings, and layouts for equipment and components Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including BOMs and material take-offs Support project delivery and ensure designs meet client specifications, contract requirements, and Australian Standards Assist engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical design solutions Liaise with suppliers, workshops, and subcontractors to support fabrication and ensure design accuracy Provide technical support during fabrication and installation, including checking fit-up and compliance with drawings Update drawings and models as project requirements evolve About You: Strong experience in mechanical drafting and design, preferably within mining, bulk materials handling, or heavy industry Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modelling tools Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project requirements Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and site teams Practical understanding of fabrication and installation processes Why Join TAKRAF Australia?
