Job Description As a Mechanical Designer at Vention… You will create structural designs and collaborate with our Account Executives by advising clients on industrial solutions. In this role, you will provide designing insights to our clients using Vention’s MachineBuilder CAD Software. You’ll work closely with stakeholders on hundreds of industrial projects, and gain an insider’s knowledge of leading manufacturing, automotive, robotics, and aerospace companies. You will be involved in pre-sale scope validation activities. Working in collaboration with account-executives, application engineers, application development engineers, operations team and customer success team, you will ensure that our clients are set-up for success with their structural project. What You'll Do: Work closely with customers at flagship manufacturing companies to understand their requirements and create effective solutions/design using Vention 3D MachineBuilder and library of modular components Lead design review sessions with clients to provide feedback and insight on their design Review users’ designs for performance, structural integrity, efficiency, and quality Create custom parts and drawings using standard CAD software, occasionally. Contribute to the development of Vention’s parts library and CAD by providing continuous feedback to our hardware and software team to improve the product Train clients on design best practices with MachineBuilder Run brainstorming sessions and technical post-mortems Test and troubleshoot designs assembled in-house prior to shipment Put in place references, standards, work methods and best practices Support the application engineering team with subsystem designs on complex automation projects Qualifications What You Bring to the Table We’re looking for skills, intellect, and experiences that will help you succeed in this role but we also know that various profiles (not only the one described below) could be successful.
