POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for overseeing the Mechanical Division. Reporting to the SR Projects Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations. You will be required to assist the sales team and diligently work towards improving and growing the Mechanical Division. Below outlines the roles and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Class 5 license
  • H2S Alive
  • First Aid Training.
  • CSO Training
  • Confined Space Entry and Rescue Training.
  • AWP and Fall Protection
  • Registered Pipefitter/Steamfitter Journeyman
Responsibilities
  • Attend meetings as required by Sr. Management.
  • Site Walk Throughs - Pre-estimate and Post Award
  • Cost tracking through projects
  • Manage Tab Tracker/ connections altered
  • Provide client with detailed reports on all torqued connections
  • Site visits/ inspections/ competencies/ relationship building and mentorship for all field staff.
  • Maintenance runs -Ensure crews are providing the client with excellent service.
  • Client follow-ups – day/day operations - Make calls to clients and ensure projects are completed to their expectations.
  • Hiring/ Staffing for mechanical division
  • Play an active role in hiring for project seasons/ day-to-day operations.
  • Weekly check ins with Maintenance Leads to ensure they are receiving adequate support and needing addition assistance with daily projects or upcoming projects.
  • Prepare estimates and attend estimate reviews
  • Work closely with our QC department to ensure all client codes and standards are being followed
  • Preparing documents for projects: BOM’s, ISO’s, Fabrication drawings, Redlined drawings, ITP’s
  • Managing Welders/ Fitters and reviewing and approving all time sheets daily
  • Hiring/ Staffing
  • Collaborate with dispatch for job prep
  • Managing POs for projects - Ensure all POs are being billed out on the appropriate tickets
  • Ticketing for projects - Prepare and review all MOC field tickets and submit for invoicing daily
  • Ordering materials for projects - Keep a well documented record of all materials ordered, received , returned and billed out on daily tickets.
  • Collaborating with dispatch to order rentals for projects
  • Coordinate NDE, internal/external coating (as required) and Stress relief (as required) for all fabrication projects
  • Coordinating Supervision for all hydrotesting and act as sign off.
  • Coordinating welding inspectors when applicable.
  • Ensuring that all shop and yard space utilized by our MOC staff is well organized and work areas are cleaned up at the end of each workday .
  • Working with Safety Division on AIT and schooling - Ensure all trades personnel are active in the apprenticeship program.

Mechanical Fleet and Specialty Tools

  • Ensure that the necessary permits, registration, insurance, etc. are current in all units.
  • Ensure units are washed regularly and that the insides are kept clean and organized.
  • Coordination truck inventories and equipment inspections on our management system.
  • Attend and participate in company safety and project kick off meetings.
  • Manage training for employees: Rad guns, Hytorc, Bundle Extractor, Knuckle Pickers
