THE ROLE

We’re on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) with a passion for building systems and a drive to learn, contribute, and grow. In this hands-on role, you’ll work on a range of mechanical system designs—from HVAC and plumbing to fire protection—for projects across Canada. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and building owners to deliver effective, coordinated, and buildable designs. If you thrive in a fast-paced, solutions-oriented environment and are eager to roll up your sleeves, this is your chance to make your mark.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct heating and cooling load analysis using HAP; familiarity with energy modeling tools is a bonus
  • Shape initial mechanical design strategies during early project phases and carry them through to detailed construction documentation
  • Size and specify mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection through precise engineering calculations
  • Collaborate closely with a P.Eng and contribute to technical drawings and design packages using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and consultants to align design goals and project expectations
  • Research equipment options, connect with vendors, and assist with product selections
  • Review shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
  • Support construction administration: respond to RFIs, issue site instructions, and draft change notices
  • Conduct field reviews and site audits to ensure installation meets code and design standards
