POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Co-op Student to support our R&D and prototyping teams. This is a hands-on role that involves both mechanical and electrical design, testing, and documentation. You will be working on exciting electric vehicle components and systems in a collaborative startup environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program (3rd or 4th year preferred)
  • Experience with Fusion 360, and basic knowledge of PCB CAD tools
  • Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings and documentation
  • Hands-on experience with tools, prototyping, and lab/test equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mechanical Engineering Tasks:

  • Create and modify 3D and 2D CAD models using Fusion 360
  • Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation (drawings, BOMs, assembly guides)
  • Assist with mechanical prototyping, assembly, and testing
  • Source mechanical components and materials from suppliers
  • Support design verification and product testing

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TASKS:

  • Design and revise PCB layouts and schematics using CAD tools (Altium, KiCAD, or similar)
  • Assist in electrical harness design for power and signal systems
  • Hands-on assembly and troubleshooting of electrical components
  • Contribute to wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical documentation
  • Participate in testing and validation of electrical systems
