Job Description
Our growing Portland office is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with zero to three years of experience in the consulting engineering field, who is passionate about their craft and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. The desired individual should have a desire to work as part of a multidiscipline engineering team and be willing to learn the art of consulting architects, owners, and general contractors. We value self-motivated individuals with an enthusiastic mindset, an interest in working on diverse projects, and attention to detail to deliver quality engineering services.
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • General understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems. (preferred)
  • Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing and building (preferred)
  • Registration as either an E.I.T or a P.E. (preferred)
  • Contribute to Coffman’s marketing and business initiatives as needed.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, Bluebeam, and general electronic drawing format software (preferred).
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
  • Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
  • Able to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader.
  • Strong organizational ability; detail oriented; high degree of accuracy.
