RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and Resolve Equipment Failures: Quickly respond to faults across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems-including cranes, conveyors, refrigeration, and plant utilities-identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks in line with PPM programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Monitor and Maintain Coldstore Systems: Regularly inspect and ensure the Coldstore plant is operating within temperature thresholds. Support the refrigeration servicing schedules and report any deviations or concerns to leadership promptly.
  • Support Automation and Yard Operations: Act as a first point of contact for automation or yard system issues. Provide rapid support to restore operations and liaise with controls/automation engineers where necessary.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately complete maintenance logs, job sheets, and WMS entries to ensure full traceability and compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
  • Maintain Tools and Workspaces: Ensure all maintenance tools are kept in good working condition, compliant with PAT requirements, and that the workshop remains clean, safe, and organized.
  • Parts and Stock Management: Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to maintain stock levels of critical spare parts and consumables, helping to avoid delays in reactive or planned maintenance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to company health and safety protocols, food safety standards (including HACCP), and environmental policies. Promptly report unsafe situations, near-misses, or incidents using the correct procedures.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Bring forward ideas for improving equipment reliability, maintenance practices, and operational efficiency. Support project work and site upgrades as needed.
