JOB SUMMARY:
APTIM is seeking mechanical engineers to join our team of engineering professionals serving our Government and Commercial programs.

Engineers will apply critical thinking skills to initial planning, procurement support, plan development, design, construction and commissioning phases of projects. APTIM expects our engineers to be creative problem solvers and actively look for the best way to support our varied Government and commercial clients. Engineers will often work on multiple projects simultaneously and perform other duties as required. This position will require prior knowledge of the engineering and construction industry. Understanding of basic corporate mechanisms such as scopes of work, construction safety protocols, and experience in a professional work environment. This position immediately offers opportunities to grow professionally while solving problems in the engineering and construction industry. Engineers typically serve the projects in both the field (domestic and international assignments) and the office, as necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, 2
- - 7 years related experience
- Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in mechanical engineering.
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and technical engineering software, some CADD experience (AutoCAD, REVIT and/or MicroStation) along with good verbal and writing skills.
- Nuclear experience is a plus
- Candidates must be willing to travel for infrequent field assignments
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background check to gain access to government facilities
- FE and EIT candidates preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a diverse team setting
- Willingness to work across Engineering disciplines
- Strong multitasking skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
