Job Description 🚀 The Job Mission This is a hybrid role for candidates living within commutable distance to Bridgwater or Bristol, with relocation support available. You will provide mechanical engineering expertise to support delivery of complex systems across major nuclear new build programmes. Your future team depends on you to ensure technical alignment, constructability, and quality across mechanical scopes. 🛠️ Coordinate design activities for mechanical equipment and plant layout 📄 Produce and revise technical specifications for new equipment scopes 🔧 Manage technical queries, changes, and non-conformances within scope 🤝 Interface with piping, HVAC, civil and wider engineering teams 🔍 Review and approve contractor deliverables and design submissions 📐 Maintain and update 3D models and technical documentation 🛡️ Ensure compliance with nuclear safety and quality standards 📊 Track engineering risks and coordinate mitigation actions Qualifications 🛠 Skills and Qualifications Nuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us. We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further, we would strongly encourage you to apply. 🎓 Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline ⚙️ Experience with mechanical equipment such as valves, piping, HVAC, rotating and static equipment 📐 Proficiency in 3D design software including Navisworks and 3DCAD tools 🏭 Background within highly regulated or safety critical industrial sectors 📜 Strong understanding of technical reports and engineering design cycles 🔍 Knowledge of industrial standards and mechanical interface management 🗣️ Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and suppliers ✅ Proven experience resolving technical queries and engineering challenges Additional Information 🌟 Ready to Make an Impact?
