SUMMARY: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the design and manufacturing processes for battery pack assemblies. This role supports full product lifecycle development, from concept and design to testing and implementation, ensuring products meet functional and customer requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:   * Lead the full product development lifecycle including design, development, testing, manufacturing, and implementation. * Design mechanical systems and components that align with customer needs and project requirements. * Modify and refine designs to meet specifications and resolve functional issues. * Perform testing and evaluation of prototypes; create and update design documentation. * Conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to drive improvements. * Support cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous product and process improvement. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & COMPENTENCIES: * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field strongly preferred. * Proficiency in engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Pro/E). * Experience with AS400 and Microsoft Office Suite. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This role operates in a manufacturing setting and may involve: * Extended periods of sitting at a workstation or standing during production tasks. * Repetitive hand and wrist movements for detailed assembly work. * Use of fine motor skills for accurate component assembly. * Frequent reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting of materials. * Ability to lift and carry components, tools, or products up to 50 lbs. * Physical agility to access equipment, operate machinery, and perform inspections. * Exposure to varying noise levels and temperatures; potential contact with battery chemicals or other materials used in manufacturing. * Adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses.
