THE OPPORTUNITY

Orrcon Steel is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in our Maintenance and Reliability team based in Unanderra. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for CAD and mechanical design who also enjoys being hands-on. You’ll see your concepts evolve from screen to factory floor, and you’ll be there as they’re built, tested, and commissioned. Leverage your mechanical expertise and engineering creativity into a real-world setting. Working with brand-new plant, you’ll enjoy seeing your designs come to life right in front of you. You’ll focus on:

• developing and delivering cost-effective, high-quality mechanical designs that support operational and project requirements
• providing technical support to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall plant performance
• contribute to the development and optimisation of maintenance and asset management strategies through smart design solutions
• ensure all designs comply with relevant safety, regulatory, and engineering standards
• collaborate with operations, maintenance, and external suppliers to deliver effective engineering outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives
