Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide engineering advice to internal (e.g. Technicians, Maintenance Managers, Energy and BMS teams) and external stakeholders (Partners) in relation to the design, operation, maintenance, upgrade, replacement and/or new installation of mechanical building services
  • Review and provide technical feedback on design, tender and/or as-built documentation to ensure the proposal or installation aligns with the partners’ requirements and complies with building codes and standards, including review of calculations, equipment selection, installation program, etc.
  • Design and develop concept, detailed design and/or tender documentation for upgrade, replacement or new installation of mechanical building services.
  • Perform comprehensive audits of partner sites nationwide for the purposes of documenting existing site conditions covering all building services (mechanical, electrical, controls, building, fire, hydraulics, etc.) and providing recommendations for upgrade or replacement of equipment where necessary with budgetary costings.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on implementation and delivery of projects

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE / BE:

  • 5+ years’ experience or equivalent in engineering design, auditing, and delivery of related projects and activities.
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Sound analytical thinking and engineering judgement, with an ability to think creatively in designing solutions.
  • An industry recognised accreditation (e.g. CPEng, RBP-ME; this is desirable, not essential).
  • Experience in client service and report writing.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to liaise with all levels within the organisation.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • A team-first mindset, and willingness to advance your own and others’ growth.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and Full Australian working rights.
