This opportunity suits an experienced Mechanical Engineer ready to take ownership of design delivery, build trusted client relationships, and mentor emerging engineers. The Opportunity We’re growing our Building Services team in Melbourne and are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our established and well-connected Property & Buildings group. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, from major commercial developments through to complex infrastructure and emerging sectors like data centres. You’ll play a key role in delivering mechanical building services designs across a variety of projects, working alongside experienced engineers and supportive leadership. What you'll do * Mechanical design for HVAC and building systems * End-to-end project delivery from concept to completion * Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Property & Buildings * Take ownership of technical quality, coordination and documentation * Work directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams * Provide guidance and mentoring to graduate engineers * Contribute to project planning, risk management and delivery outcomes About you * Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) * 3+ years’ experience within building services consulting * Developing technical capability across HVAC systems and building services design * Experience delivering projects across multiple sectors * Confident supporting design packages and engaging with stakeholders * Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Why WSP * Work on diverse, high-impact projects across VIC and nationally * Supportive leadership and strong team culture * Flexible working, including hybrid arrangements * Clear development pathways from Engineer through to Senior and beyond * Access to global expertise and multidisciplinary capability
