About the role

Based in Sydney, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager for all aspects of the mechanical design of their range of equipment. The role involves design review, coordination with local and overseas teams, and technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Review of company mechanical and hydraulic equipment designs
• Coordinating with local and overseas mechanical, process and hydraulic design teams for product development and project implementation
• Interface with clients and sub suppliers to modify equipment to meet project specifications and client requests
• Preparation of documentation and AutoCAD drawings
• Provide technical assistance to Field Services team and clients after project completion

About you

• Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with practical experience in design and design review
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
• Experience in working to Australian and International standards
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor and competent with Microsoft office products
• Experience with drive train technology including Gearboxes, Motors and Couplings
• Experience with Hydraulics an advantage
• Experience in the mining industry an advantage
