JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. Our company specializes in the design and manufacturing of hydraulic presses and aluminum melting furnaces for industrial applications. This role involves hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, and system integration of complex electro-mechanical machinery. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical and mechanical systems, control circuits, and industrial automation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electro-mechanical design or industrial machinery manufacturing
  • Proficient in reading and creating electrical schematics (AutoCAD Electrical experience an asset)
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of electrical safety codes and standards (CEC, NEC)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens and Allen-Bradley) an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test electro-mechanical systems for hydraulic presses and melting furnaces
  • Create wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and BOMs for electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system issues during production and field service
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of system components
  • Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and related automation equipment
  • Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment at customer sites (occasional travel may be required)
  • Ensure compliance with CSA/UL and other relevant safety and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of designs, changes, and test results
