The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for learning the basic mechanical engineering technologies, learning & using the design tools, and executing engineering designs for assigned proposals & projects. Candidates for this position are expected to have 0-5 years of engineering experience in a design role. Preferred candidates will have industrial plant or system design experience and be familiar with typical industrial mechanical equipment. Candidates must demonstrate teamwork, leadership, multi-tasking, and planning skills. Key Responsibilities Perform specific portions of engineering activities involving the design of equipment, systems, components, structures, etc. Mechanical engineering design of steam and chemical process equipment and systems. Gather and organize information to be used for developing the design, specifications, and drawings of mechanical equipment. Development of piping and instrumentation drawings. Assist higher-level engineers in large projects with review, check, and assembly of design packages, engineering calculations, etc. Lead mechanical engineer on small projects Review of engineering design documents and vendor data. Attend appropriate technical conferences and/or training as assigned. Key Knowledge Skills and Abilities 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree with 0-5 years of experience. EIT or PE preferred Ansys CFD and FEA experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Flexibility and interest in some international travel. Demonstration of working well within a team atmosphere is preferred. Positions are open to candidates authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
