As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues. Key Responsibilities In support of design projects, coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve basic technical issues Design or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics, and/or detailed drawings/specifications of limited scope under direct supervision Perform and document engineering test reports under direct supervision Generate related alpha/gamma documentation for product release under direct supervision Perform engineering analysis under direct supervision Troubleshoots a variety of mechanical problems of general difficulty under direct supervision Effective use of engineering processes in the resolution of basic mechanical problems of limited scope May be responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle Work with suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured in accordance with performance and cost objectives. Perform 3D modelling Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Basic knowledge or experiences in semiconductor industry Prior 3D modelling experiences will be an added advantage Skilled in Unigraphics - NX Work Location: Science Park II (Moving to Tampines in end 2026) Additional Information Time Type: Full time Employee Type: New College Grad Travel: No Relocation Eligible: No Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
