Formosa Plastics Corporation, Texas, located in Point Comfort, Texas (jobsite), is looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years related work experience. Job duties include utilizing finite element analysis techniques to design static equipment and structures and ensure structural integrity, conducting field engineering evaluations to ensure proper installation of piping systems, rotating equipment, and associated mechanical equipment, performing advanced engineering calculations to verify mechanical system performance including pump sizing, motor selection, piping hydraulics, and rotating equipment loads, designing and implementing integrated mechanical process systems consisting of pumps, motors, rotating equipment, structural steel, and piping networks, conducting non-destructive evaluation and hydrostatic pressure testing, and establishing standards for installation, modification, testing, and inspection of equipment in accordance with applicable engineering standards.
