EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 5 years’ prior experience using SolidWorks.
- Prior switchgear/switchboard design experience highly preferred

Responsibilities:
- Working closely with others in the engineering department, as well as fabrication, machine shop and production personnel, to maintain an up-to-date record of all products and component parts manufactured.
- Identify like components and group them into retrievable drawing sets for ease of retrieval/review.
- Maintain a clear and concise drawing log of all documentation (past/present/future), ensuring its accuracy and integrity.
- Provide fabrication ready designs for sheet metal and machining.
- Work with production technicians to document custom product modifications without impeding production flow or scheduling.
- Provide fixture design and assist in the development of facilities equipment.
- Participate in “on site dimensional visits” where physical information is gathered and documented to complete product modifications.
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations and all compelling industry standards.
- Prepare calculations as needed.
- Occasionally the ideal candidate will be required to assist production in emergency situations requiring weekend hours or overnight stays.
