What You’ll Do

Gyptech is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our Mechanical Engineering team. Your role will involve:

  • Creating mechanical designs of equipment/systems as part of a design team including: bulk material handling, conveying, crushing, screening, dust collection, storage, metering, detailed machine design, and process improvement.
  • Reviewing designs with our fabrication shop and others to ensure consistent design, fabrication and quality specifications.
  • Providing onsite installation, troubleshooting, commissioning and maintenance support for our equipment in the field.

This position is based out of our head office in Burlington with an opportunity for international travel.

What You Offer

  • Advanced 2D AutoCAD and 3D modelling design skills and knowledge.
  • A Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma or Degree.
  • Solid overall design, project leadership and communication skills.
  • Material handling or heavy machinery design, installation or maintenance would be an asset.
  • Fabrication or Commissioning experience would be an asset.
