Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

  • Design and manufacture fully automated laser process machines. These machines are high precision needing micron level positional accuracy.
  • Responsible for entire project cycle to include design, development, and project completion. Preferably familiar with class 100 cleanroom and better machine design requirement.
  • A strong background in precision machine design is a necessity and good technical management skill to handle large projects is an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in design and development of automated machines
  • Strong foundation in high precision, high speed machine design
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks

LASER KNOWLEDGE WILL BE AN ADVANTAGE

  • Team player with good communication skill
  • Overseas travel is required
Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, design and develop machines to meet system, cost and schedule requirements
  • Prepare and review fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings
  • Assembly, testing and troubleshooting of prototypes
  • Prepare technical specifications
  • Manage project issues, budgets, and schedules
  • Review and propose improvement to design guidelines, engineering work SOP
  • Compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices
  • Work closely with the software, vision, laser and production teams
  • Assist sales and application teams for concept proposals
  • Travel overseas for short assignments, e.g. project discussion, installation, commissioning and training
  • Other duties as assigned
