Description The Mechanical Engineer at Hyper Solutions plays a key role in designing and supporting mechanical components and enclosures for power distribution systems used in data center environments. This position contributes to the development of reliable, high-quality products that meet customer expectations while supporting a fast-paced and growing business. This role works closely with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and external partners to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with project timelines. The Mechanical Engineer supports product development, documentation, and coordination across multiple projects and stakeholders. This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented engineer with strong CAD experience, an understanding of power distribution products, and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative and deadline-driven environment. Core Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and enclosures for power distribution products using CAD tools Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support electrical system designs for data center infrastructure, including RPPs, power distribution, and related systems Create and maintain detailed drawings, models, and product documentation Develop and manage bills of materials (BOMs) for products and assemblies Support project timelines by delivering designs in accordance with deadlines Collaborate with external partners, contractors, and vendors to support successful project execution Assist in ensuring product designs meet customer expectations, industry standards, and manufacturing requirements Additional Responsibilities Capture design updates and redlines and generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) Support product quality and consistency through accurate documentation and revision control Assist Senior Engineers with project execution and product development deliverables Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, documentation, and product standardization Coordinate with third-party manufacturing partners to support production and design alignment Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience Proficiency in SolidWorks Working knowledge of applicable standards such as UL1062, UL891, and NEC Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with MRP/ERP systems Familiarity with AutoCAD SolidWorks Certification Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience with SolidWorks PDM Experience working with contract manufacturing or third-party production partners What Success Looks Like Mechanical designs are accurate, manufacturable, and aligned with electrical and system requirements Product documentation, BOMs, and drawings are well-maintained and support efficient production Strong collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and external partners leads to smooth project execution Design updates and changes are well-controlled and clearly communicated Projects are delivered on time with high quality and minimal rework Why Hyper?
