Description An Engineer I is an entry-level position on the path to becoming a Project Engineer or Design Engineer. You will work under the supervision of a manager and an experienced project engineer. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs, drawings, and technical documentation for mechanical components of a project. While working under the supervision of a senior colleague, you will also contribute to live engineering projects in order to help project teammates complete the work. Key Responsibilities 1. Become a contributing member of a team of engineers, designers, and drafters. 2. Develop insight into engineering duties concerning the design of conveyor systems. 3. Acquire knowledge of codes, standards and specifications associated with material handing design. 4. Develop proficiency in the use of 2D and 3D CAD Software. 5. Perform ballooning and dimensioning of drawings as assigned. 6. Provide technical design support to engineering and field teams. 7. Review drawings and check for errors prior to customer review. 8. Prepare detailed reports to demonstrate technical progress and accomplishments on projects. 9. Fulfill any other tasks assigned by the business. Requirements Qualifications • Minimum: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering • Experience: 0 – 1 year (internship preferred if under 1 year) • Familiarity with MS Office plus 2D and 3D CAD Software (Inventor, Revit, and AutoCAD preferred, but not required) Skills & Abilities • High energy level, ability to meet goals, exhibit professional demeanor. • Superior administrative capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with finesse and to complete them with minimal oversight. • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to include grammar, spelling, and proofreading. • Strong interpersonal skills with proven teamwork, participation, and a heart to serve. • A commitment to grow and mature in the mission, vision, and core values of the Company. • A friendly, professional, optimistic demeanor • Flexibility and composure under pressure Position Information • Department: Engineering • Full-time position; salary with benefits • Work schedule: Avg. 45 plus hours per week, which may include nights and weekends, as required to meet deadlines. • Occasional travel: less than 25% **No solicitation from headhunters and/or recruiters**
