Description Position Summary: Provides mechanical engineering expertise in driving product designs across all phases of the product life cycle. Acts as core contributor in teams’ efforts to product design, verification, validation, productization, and documentation. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Develops products, including drawings, 3D models, risk assessment, planning and development documentation, in compliance with the company’s Quality Management System requirements. Establishes, maintains, and communicates development timelines to support project schedules. Works with internal and external customers to ensure designs meet manufacturability, service and customer requirements. Initiates and contributes to problem solving and continuous improvement activities for both development projects and mature products. Communicates with suppliers to understand processes/capabilities, and requirements and troubleshooting. Executes core duties and responsibilities of the role in accordance with the established skills competencies. All other duties, as assigned. Requirements Essential Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study, or equivalent combination of training and experience. 3 to 6 years of work experience developing new product designs in similar industry is required; Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry and knowledge of injection molding design preferred. Intermediate computer competency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and business specific software (e.g. ERP, eQMS, CAD) Reporting to this position: No direct reports Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
