SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the engineering field.
  • Fluent in CAD design utilizing CREO.
  • Knowledgeable in robotics, servo, pneumatics, controls, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer III will evaluate, design, source, install, make operational and maintain multiple complex manufacturing equipment, automation, transport, and processing systems that are utilized in a Thermoset environment. Drive continuous improvement of the existing equipment to maximize performance and efficiency.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, research, specify, and source equipment and systems.
  • Manage the process for procurement and installation of new manufacturing processes and factory automation.
  • Determine equipment costs or cost estimates and prepare, make, or buy information.
  • Evaluate equipment payback and recommend choices.
  • Evaluate equipment performance characteristics through operation, research, and testing.
  • Recommend equipment or system changes or enhancements.
  • Produce engineering drawings related to industrial equipment, automation, and facility design. Create 3D models of equipment and generate 2D drawings to be used for fabrication.
  • Document changes per established procedures and guidelines to include timelines, purchases, bill of material and maintenance schedules.
  • Evaluate cost reduction potential through automation of work cells or stations.
  • Participate on cost reduction teams.
  • Recommend and implement productivity enhancements.
  • Maintain existing equipment and processes providing field service troubleshooting, engineering support to CS2, and technical advice on preventative maintenance, safety, and training.
