TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting a MECHANICAL ENGINEER (INTERMEDIATE) for an opportunity in the Greater Medicine Hat Area in an Operating Plant environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
  • Eligible for APEGA membership, with the ability to register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng) required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a gas processing facility as a mechanical engineer preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and mechanical engineering best practices required.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software required.
  • Microsoft Office experience is an asset.

    Pay: $90,000.00-$105,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Develop, design, and review projects related to piping, vessels, rotating, and mechanical equipment.
  • Hand calculations, finite element analysis, and discrete element analysis
  • Equipment, fabrication inspections, and commissioning
  • Maintaining project schedules and budgets, staying aware of project progress
  • Provide low-risk mechanical and piping designs.
  • Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with industry codes, standards, and ABSA requirements.
  • Engage in hazard reviews, root cause analysis, and site reliability initiatives.
  • Assist departments with emergency changes and equipment issues.
  • Analyzing problems and deficiencies, making assumptions and developing solutions to resolve
  • Contributing to project reports, in collaboration with project team members
