Description Quantic BEI | Aerospace & Defense Technology Quantic BEI is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This hands-on role provides exposure to real-world product development in a high-tech environment, supporting custom solutions designed to operate in extreme conditions (vibration, shock, temperature extremes, and vacuum). What You’ll Do Assist with mechanical design and modeling using SolidWorks Support 3D printing and prototype fabrication Participate in assembly, fit-checks, and testing of mechanical components Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and test documentation Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams Contribute to design reviews and technical problem-solving What You’ll Gain Hands-on experience in aerospace and defense technology Mentorship from experienced engineers Work on mission-critical hardware programs Potential pathway to full-time opportunities If you enjoy building real hardware and solving challenging engineering problems, we’d love to connect. Requirements What We’re Looking For Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field Foundation in mechanical design principles Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a team environment Relevant Hobbies and Interests We value hands-on experience gained through personal projects and hobbies. Responsibilities
The intern will assist with mechanical design and modeling using SolidWorks, support 3D printing and prototype fabrication, and participate in the assembly and testing of mechanical components.
