Position Summary: Participates in conceptualization and design of new and existing products. Works with all departments within the company to ensure that product specifications, performance, durability, quality, cost and manufacturing requirements are met. Position Responsibilities: Initiate preliminary mechanical design concepts product leadership and aids in establishing product specifications, features and designs. Development of new and innovative products, product enhancements or new technologies to meet market needs. Work with suppliers to coordinate prototyping activities and to ensure design expectations are met Work independently as well as with cross-functional teams. Additional duties as requested. Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” Initiatives for continuous improvement and waste elimination. Position Requirements (Knowledge & Experience): High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. Self-motivated, creative, and capable of handling and prioritizing multiple projects Must possess a collaborative working style that thrives in a cross-functional team environment Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to actively listen Knowledge of SolidWorks (or other 3D parametric modeling software) Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Oracle Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.
