Description Summary of Description: The Intern will provide support to a department or function. Responsibilities may include working on special projects; conducting research; telephone support; providing customer service; running reports; entering data; sorting documents; and operating standard office equipment. Duties: Researches, analyzes, and documents solutions in an independent and timely manner. Collaborates to create documents and/or programs. Prepares and assists with presentations. Participates in team meetings and brainstorming sessions. Shadows employees and managers to gain professional experience. Files documents alphabetically, numerically, or by other prescribed methods in established filing systems. Prepares, reviews, and/or processes a variety of correspondence, logs, information, paperwork, forms, and/or other related information in assigned area of responsibility. Runs standard reports in assigned area of responsibility. Routine administrative tasks. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D); and currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree. License Requirements: Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement Specific Skills: Use computers and related software applications; Operate standard office equipment; Maintain records and files; Data entry; Use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling; Provide customer service; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interact with coworkers, supervisor, the public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction; Ability to count or measure. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year. Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break. Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted. Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection. Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time. Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.

Responsibilities
