Description

Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and systems for buses/coaches, from concept through to production release
Produce and review 3D CAD models, drawings and BOMs (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or similar)
Support the production line with engineering input — troubleshooting build issues, running root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce build time, cost and rework across the manufacturing process
Conduct engineering analysis (structural, thermal, fatigue) to validate designs against ADR and relevant Australian Design Standards
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, work instructions and engineering change notices (ECNs)
Liaise with suppliers, fabricators and trades to source components and resolve manufacturing/fit-up issues
Support prototype builds, testing and validation of new models (including electric drivetrain integration)
Collaborate with electrical, production and quality teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and compliant
