Position Title: Mechanical Engineer Location: San Diego, CA Clearance: Secret   Position Summary ISPA Technology is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the research, design, development, testing, integration, and sustainment of mechanical systems, equipment, and components for commercial, government, and defense-related projects. The Mechanical Engineer applies engineering principles to develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges involving machinery, mechanical equipment, structural systems, manufacturing processes, and industrial applications.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Design, develop, analyze, and test mechanical systems, components, and equipment. * Create engineering drawings, specifications, models, and technical documentation using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools. * Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to evaluate system performance, reliability, and safety. * Develop and review mechanical designs for manufacturing, installation, operation, and maintenance. * Support the design and integration of power-producing and power-utilizing equipment, including mechanical machinery, industrial systems, HVAC equipment, robotics, and material handling systems. * Conduct feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and engineering evaluations to support design decisions. * Utilize Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and other engineering software tools to support product development and production activities. * Participate in prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and validation efforts. * Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions or design improvements. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, customers, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. * Prepare technical reports, engineering studies, cost estimates, and project documentation. * Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, quality assurance procedures, and customer specifications. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering personnel, as appropriate.   Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution * 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, systems integration, product development, or related engineering disciplines. * Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and design methodologies. * Proficiency with CAD software and engineering modeling tools. * Experience with mechanical analysis, design calculations, and engineering documentation. * Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, fabrication methods, and production techniques. * Familiarity with testing, troubleshooting, and validation of mechanical systems and equipment. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.   Why Choose ISPA Technology?  * Competitive salary packages with bonus potential.  * Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage.  * Generous PTO allotment and 11 paid holidays.  * Robust life and disability insurance options.  * 401(K) with company match, for your future.  * A culture of recognition and rewards for your contributions.  * Opportunities for relocation and professional development.    This is a fast-paced and impactful position where your expertise will directly contribute to meeting critical Government customer requirements.
