Description Mechanical Engineer IV provides engineering support to government programs within a contractor-supported environment. Support engineering activities such as development, design, and documentation in support of the maritime expeditionary warfare systems. This role works closely with government leads, program managers, and technical teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant program support. Requirements Primary Duties and Responsibilities Support Engineering Investigations (EIs) by analyzing system deficiencies, root causes, and corrective actions. Provide technical troubleshooting support for AN/SLQ-32(V)6 systems, including remote (distance) engineering assistance. Develop system-level knowledge to support fleet issue resolution. Assist in the development, review, and coordination of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and In-Service Engineering Agencies (ISEAs). Support technical evaluations, impact assessments, and documentation updates related to ECPs. Conduct periodic reviews and updates of existing Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs). Develop new MRCs based on engineering changes, system updates, and fleet feedback. Ensure alignment with Navy maintenance standards and system configuration. Support planning and execution of Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT). Review test data and reports for technical accuracy and compliance. Assist in preparation and review of technical documentation, reports, and engineering artifacts. Maintain accurate records of engineering activities, test results, and configuration updates. Qualifications Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline. 10+ years of professional experience Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring deadlines. US Citizen Able to obtain Security Clearance Experience with DoD, federal agency, or technical program environments. Experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) systems (preferably SLQ-32) Technical experience with hardware systems Ability to develop or enhance graphical program metrics (charts, dashboards).
